m_material_properties.cp(Temp, composition)

Evaluates the specific heat capacity at constant pressure \(c_p\).

Parameters:
  • Temp – temperature (\(T\))

  • composition – material composition (\(C\))

Returns:

A user-defined function of temperature and composition.

m_material_properties.k(Temp, composition)

Evaluates the thermal conductivity \(k\).

Parameters:
  • Temp – temperature (\(T\))

  • composition – material composition (\(C\))

Returns:

A user-defined function of temperature and composition.

m_material_properties.rho(Temp, composition, xm)

Evaluates the density \(\rho\).

Parameters:
  • Temp – temperature (\(T\))

  • composition – material composition (\(C\))

  • xm – melt fraction (\(\chi\))

Returns:

  • For ice \(\rho = (1 - \chi)\rho_i(T) + \chi\rho_w\)

  • Another user-defined function of temperature, composition and melt fraction. Formulas used in the benchmarks are predefined and commented.
